Papers

All of those interested in submitting a paper may send an abstract via e-mail (300 words) together with a short résumé (300 words) until 31 May 2009 to the following address: efcobian@udc.es

The papers must have a maximum extension of 12,000 characters and must be sent in Word format.

Topics:

• The expression of the identity of Christian art and architecture.

• Extensions of metaphor in contemporary religious architecture.

• Strategies for documenting and spreading this architecture.

• Typological transgressions and theological determinations: the inculturation of the sacred space.

• The training value of sacred architecture: inter-disciplinary links.

• Inclusive architecture vs. exclusive architecture.

• Self-building, genius and popular culture in the new religious architecture.

• Contemporary re-using and modifying places of worship.

• Sacredness and urban space: the place of worship as a socially cohesive element.

• Artistic expression: loans and divergence between religions sharing a place.
